With over ten years directing experience and credits to her name, Laura recently directed National Theatre Connections LGBT+ youth play, "Dungeness", by Chris Thompson (2018), which was performed by The Boaty Theatre Company at National Waterways Museum, Ellesmere Port; Storyhouse, Chester; and The Crucible Theatre, Sheffield.
She has produced and directed for the Boaty Theatre Company (both youth and community) and has previously workshopped some of these youth projects with the RSC.
Laura is currently the Artistic Director for Chalice Productions (part of Chalice Media Limited) and conceived the idea for the "Where There's A Will..." 2016 Shakespeare Season along with John Gorman (and in conjunction with St.George's Hall, Liverpool); consequently producing/directing four plays in only four months to celebrate four-hundred years of Shakespeare's life and works! A mammoth task for anyone... but much-loved, well-received and enjoyed by all.
Laura has developed and continues to deliver tailormade (and key stage appropriate) workshops to primary and secondary schools across the UK and beyond (including her unique 'Shakespeare Undressed' and 'On Target' drama workshops). She also offers a range of bespoke services, including team-building and well-being workshops for groups both large and small, one-to-one consultations, audition technique and actor development sessions. Please contact Laura for more information on workshops, classes and packages or to make a booking.
